Job Description

Process EngineerAre you enthusiastic about process engineering, process improvements and championing a health and safety cultureSaint Gobain Formula is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team in Newark, with the purpose to develop the plant process capability ensuring product conformance is maintained whilst improving plant performance and reducing cost. This is a key role within the Process Team where your technical mind, the abilityto focus on energy efficiency, waste reduction and make process more efficient will get noticed across the Saint Gobain Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development and career progression as the last 2 holders of this position both have hadpromotions.This is a site-based role working for Saint-Gobain Formula one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK. Saint Gobain Formula aim to be the industrys first choice for specialist gypsum and plasters solutions and through our people, we aimto build long term partnerships with our customers by excelling in product quality, customer service, technical support, innovation, and sustainability.What were looking for:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering related discipline
  • Managing safely IOSH
  • Previous experience on working on continuous improvement projects
  • The ability to interpret and analyse data and relevant key performance indicators
  • Experience working to WCM standards would be preferable
  • We will consider candidates from all Process engineering industries
  • Stable and solid background as a Process Engineer
  • A Process Engineer who has the mindset of "Going to the Gemba"
What you will be doing:
  • Responsible for ensuring plant process capability is maintained and where necessary improved upon to allow plant OEE to improve continuously
  • Actively ensure continuous improvement in all areas of the plant through the adoption and implementation of WCM philosophies tools and techniques associated with FI and AM practices
  • Carry out Process and Engineering investigations and rectify specification / product issues
  • Identify capital project opportunities and write application papers
  • Driving a culture that supports continual development of credible experts
  • They must take ownership of process issues on site and making improvements in the processes.
  • Leading multi-disciplined teams on projects applying WCM tools.
  • Project work and reactive work, focus on energy efficiency reducing waste and yield, improving plant availability, Continuous improvements, Scada work, problem solving
