Job Description

Electrical Section Leader (Electrical Maintenance Supervisor)Saint Gobain Formula - Newark - Day shifts, 5 days per week, every other Saturday.Do you have Electrical Engineering/Maintenance supervisory experience in an industrial processing or manufacturing environmentAt Saint-Gobain Formula, we are looking for an Electrical Section Leader to implement all aspects of Electrical Engineering linked to the plant, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Saint Gobain Formula is oneof more than 15 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK, and a Leading supplier of high performance industrial powder based plaster products, supplying 80 countries across 5 continents.What you will be doing: Working alongside your Mechanical counterpart, and supporting the Maintenance Manager you will lead, supervise and support a team of plant electricians in all aspects of electrical maintenance, reactive repair work, and general electrical engineering supportto the plant. This will include work allocation, calendar planning, situational management, facilitating team development, and leading appraisal and review processes. You wont be on the tools all of the time but around half of your work will be hands on,supporting the team and acting as the subject matter expert in all electrical maintenance, repair, and some minor improvement project activities in a heavy industrial processing environment.

  • Contractor control, inductions, authorisations, method and risk assessments.
  • Issuer of Permit to work
  • Issue maintenance work, and monitor the standard of work.
  • Perform and allocate planned maintenance tasks as scheduled by our computerised maintenance management system.
  • Respond to and rectify unplanned stops
  • Apply root cause analysis, countermeasures; collect and communicate relevant data regarding maintenance problems
  • Support the Professional Maintenance Pillar & the Workshop 5S program
  • Coach & assist operators with autonomous maintenance tasks and challenge operating standards
  • Proactively support the Newark safety function by participating in safety audits.
  • Support all areas of the WCM program
What were looking for:
  • Supervisory experience is essential
  • Comfortable with PLC interrogation (inputs, outputs, fault diagnosis)
  • Ideally a background in a similar environment/processing plant (gypsum, tarmac, foundry), with experience in palletising and bagging processes
  • Experience working to WCM (World Class Manufacturing) or other continuous improvement toold and methodologies required
  • Effective inter-departmental working skills are essential
  • HNC or equivalent Electrical engineering/maintenance qualification and IOSH desirable
  • Experience in using a CMMS system
