Job Description

Bennett and Game currently have the pleasure of representing an award-winning Consultancy based in Newark who are seeking a Clerk Of Works to join them, on a full time permanent basis. The Clerk Of Works will be working on a variety of education, commercialand residential projects across the region. This multidisciplinary consultancy offers a range of services, assisting with any architectural, surveying and civil engineering needs across the whole of the UK. Their projects range between multiple sectors includingRetail, Commercial, Residential, Leisure, Education and Industrial, with project valuing up to £20M.Clerk Of Works Position Remuneration

  • Salary: £35k - £45k DOE (possibly more for a strong candidate)

Clerk Of Works Position Overview
  • Operating on-site and from home / office as required
  • Representing our clients on site to act as their eyes and ears, updating them on quality standards both verbally and through production of weekly reports.
  • Reviewing drawings and ensuring that the project is being built using correct methods and to specification/drawings.
  • Monitoring progress against the contract programme.
  • Reporting on any health and safety concerns noted on site, general site conditions
  • Identifying and highlighting defects and following them up until they are rectified.
Clerk Of Works Position Requirements
  • Must have prior experience working as a Clerk Of Works
  • Ideally a member of ICWCI (not essential if qualified by experience)
  • Experience of technical building design and Building Regulations both in terms of new build and refurbishment / fit out.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret contract
  • Good knowledge of site health and safety
  • Experience of working under both the JCT and NEC suite of
  • Full driving licence
  • Based within commuting distance of Newark
