Job Description

Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd., are currently recruiting for a lovely organisation, established some 10 years now and set up as the UK’s first Independent Fostering Agency, specialising in the care of children with complex medical needs and physical and learning disabilities. They remain a market leader for provision of this service to Local Authorities.What we are looking for in an individual:With a degree in social work - CQSW, DipSW or equivalent - you must be registered with Social Work England and have post-qualification experience of working with children in care. In addition, you will be a good communicator and have supervised/managed social work staff. Knowledge of the Fostering Services Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services is essential, along with being a team player and good IT skills.The Role:As part of the management team you will play an integral part in our recruitment plans for foster carers. You will oversee the Placement team managing the referral and matching of children to our foster carers. In addition, you will have management and supervision responsibility for several independent social workers undertaking Form F assessments.The client will require your participation in the Out of Hours On-Call service, and attendance at childcare reviews, placement planning and other meetings as required.The post is subject to enhanced DBS and local authority checks and current registration with the appropriate professional body.The client:Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. They offer a generous annual leave entitlement and have a number of employee benefits including pension, employee discount platform and a health and wellbeing package.The Package:Salary circa £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus £300 per month on call allowance.37.5 hours per week.Closing Date: 31 July 2020.
