Job Description

Start Date: November 2020 Pay: Aquila Range We are looking for 1:1 SEND TeachingAssistant who can demonstrate experience in supporting children with SEMHand /or Speech, Language & Communication needs. St Nicholas CE Primary Academy has a fantasticopportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant tojoin our highly collaborative and supportive team. Our TAs are pivotal to oursuccess in the classroom and provide a great deal of support for our teachers;therefore our successful candidates will be able to establish strong workingrelationships with staff and pupils alike. Key responsibilities:

  • to work under direction from the classteacher andHead of Inclusion, who will provide a supportive network and provide guidanceand training as needed.
  • to work on a 1:1 basis with a specific pupil on adaily basis and where necessary,
  • provide wider support to the classteacher in theteaching and welfare of children to attain the targets set within thePersonalised Education Plan/ Provision Map.
    • If you think you have the necessary skill set andhave been trained to NVQ Level 2+ in working with and supporting children wewould love to hear from you This is a temporary contract, linked to a namedchild with High Needs Funding for the duration the child is at St Nicholas.Hours will be allocated to funding, to be agreed.
