JustPhysio are looking for a Physiotherapist to work with their client in Birmingham Band 6 Physiotherapist Neurology Salary - £34,900.95Start ASAP Our client is a Level 2 rehabilitation setting, accommodating 42 patients requiring neurorehabilitation which may include complex physical rehabilitation needs. Individuals are usually admitted directly from an acute hospital setting or Level 1 rehab settingonce they are medically stable. Here ,they are able to continue the rehabilitation they were unable to complete whilst in hospital. The site is part of our clients wider Neuro Network (consisting of 25+ sites) nationally and they focus on the use of clinicalexpertise, innovation and technology to meet patients expectations of rehabilitation goals and has embedded the use of REHACOM, an evidenced based innovation utilised for improving cognitive functioning. They have established referral pathways within a formalcollaboration of health and care cross Birmingham and Solihull (BSOLThrough their person-centred and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation,they aim to maximise independence and recovery whilst equipping people with the skills to return home or to a supported environment.Individuals and their family work with the MDT (multi-disciplinary team) to set goals around their physical progress, functional abilities, future independence, leisure and work activities and communication.Our client is committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for their patients and have put in place a range of measures to establish a robust and integrated Quality & Governance strategy.Patients benefit from access to the on-site doctor and neuro-specialist team consisting of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Technicians, specialist Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants.Specialist Nurses are able to provide care to those with ongoing neurological nursing needs including respiratory and tracheostomy care, diabetes, epilepsy, wound management, stoma care, enteral feeding and management of long term intravenous access points.Their wonderful team understand that a holistic approach is necessary to ensure that those in our care are safe, happy, and healthy. They promote and fulfil the company values of being caring, honest, pro-active, and empowering for those they support.What youll be working:37.5 hours per weekMonday to FridayWhat youll be doing:Ensure the provision of a high-quality physiotherapy service and its place within the multidisciplinary teamTake a lead role in physiotherapy assessment and management of service users maintaining high standards of clinical careDevelop and manage the physiotherapy service and staffInitiate and take a lead role in the development of physiotherapy department policies, guidelines and service developmentsUse highly developed physical skills to support patients who have a neurological impairment to maximise independenceLiaise with family, carers and significant others where appropriate to ensure patients needs are met to a high standardDevelop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staffimage libraryWhat youll have:A degree in PhysiotherapyBe HCPC registeredDemonstrate ability to be empathetic, motivating and reassuring to allow for active participationOur client wants to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
