Job Description

Hardware ManagerOur client is a leading developer of maritime control and instrumentation systems. They are looking to hire a Hardware Manager to provide technical leadership for electrical and mechanical development work across their Defence programmes. You will be responsible for line management and mentoring across the team of hardware engineers, as well as ensuring all of the hardware development work is completed on time. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that has seen continuous growth.Please note for this particular role, all candidates must be eligible for SC - UK EYES ONLY clearance and therefore be a sole British National passport holder.Skills & Experience

  • Experience of designing and building of electrical panels to house COTS (platform management systems) components, Integration verification and qualification of complex electronic safety related systems and equipment.
  • Familiar with requirements specification techniques and hardware system engineering processes and toolsets, including design and FEA modelling techniques
  • Technical knowledge of marine vessel operation and systems design and development to meet operational, reliability, support and maintenance requirements through life., using electronic control and instrumentation systems development knowledge including EMC design and test.
  • Technical knowledge of Safety critical systems engineering processes for marine systems or similar regulated industry
  • Experience of being Team Leader, confident people manager with a passion developing individuals
  • Strong technical decision maker
  • Have Marine vessel operation and systems knowledge with experience in engineering management, people management and leading large technical teams through Full project lifecycle experience in a matrix management environment.
  • Be experienced with customer interaction and management at a senior level
