Job Description

(Link Asset Services is a member of Link Group.)OverviewTo assist the head of department with the control and oversight of our key internal technical and control services. The role will span both Link Market Services and Link Market Services Trustees and will work with a number of internal stakeholders to deliver and support technical services to the business. This role will work with the head of department to bridge the gap between our IT functions and our operational teams.This role will assist the head of department and manager with the running of several micro teams within the departments specifically the processing of Global Share Transfers and settlement of Exchange Traded Products and the oversight of the Crest Securities Depository Regulation within our business.Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the business support function is operating efficiently and every effort is being made to ensure that where possible we encourage clients to move to digital outputs
  • Assist with the set-up of an area to house all of the regulatory controls paperwork
  • Lead Process improvements with your span of control
  • Assist with the provision of a point of contact for all CREST related matters and develop and maintain a relationship with Euroclear.
  • Ensure adherence to Central Securities Depository Regulation including but not withstanding Daily reconciliations, CREST monitoring, CREST Control Totals, CREST Service standards as outlined in CREST Rule 5.
  • CREST Contingency testing
  • CREST Triage for the business
  • Global Transfer processing and managing cross border deliveries in CREST and foreign depositories, maintaining oversight of our relationship with Bank of Montreal and Clearstream.
  • Releasing internal and external cash payments following settlement of transactions through Clearstreamand Crest.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of working procedures and ensure that these are met by all staff
  • Liaise with direct reports to ensure all development / training plans and coaching of staff are implemented to maximise full potential and highlight any concerns regarding team and individual performance
  • Conduct staff appraisals and objective setting goals on a half yearly and yearly basis
  • Regularly monitoring service levels and performance of the team, driving the department to ensure optimum performance and planning daily workloads and volumes.
  • Ensure that key controls are in place within the departments including robust procedures and processes
  • Where possible seek process improvements within the team.
  • Assist with the control of access requirements for MUA in PRISM
  • Responsible for UAT testing for PRISM and PRISM CREST
  • Produce robust, adequate and appropriate MI to senior management and highlight areas of concern in the Key performance indicators.
  • Ensure that work is carried out within agreed procedures and time frames
  • Analyse statistics highlighting and following up any causes for concern
  • Liaise with other areas and resolve issues where appropriate and raise the profile of the department
  • Keep informed and up to date of the business issues to enable you to deal with internal/external issues
  • Ensure key controls are completed within the month they are due and that any issues highlighted or addressed are followed through to resolution
  • Ensure that you keep up to date with any legislation that will affect your departments.
  • Ensure that working relationships are built and maintained internally and externally.
