We have a great opportunity for Mechanical Craft Engineer to join our day shift at Saint-Gobain Formula site in Newark.Saint-Gobain Formula are the leading supplier of high performance industrial plasters and gypsum products. We supply to a number of markets including; Ceramics, Construction, Fibrous & Decorative Plaster, Dental & Personal Care, Food, Agricultural and Environmental. The site has a variety of production machinery including; Material Handling, Crushers, Grinders, Millers Blenders, Auto Claves, Palletizers and Heating equipment.How will you support usAs a Mechanical Craft Engineer you will be joining a dedicated team that is responsible for site maintenance and keeping production flowing in this fast paced environment.Your day to day responsibilities will include;* Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing of heavy duty production plant including; Material Handling Conveyors, Crushers, Grinders, Blenders, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Gear Boxes, Palletizers and Auto Claves.* Undertake routine, scheduled and preventative maintenance checks.* Keep maintenance records up to date using Comupertised Maintenance Management Systems.* Carrying out machine inspections.* Identify on-going maintenance issues and assist in root cause analysis in an attempt eradicate .* Ensuring all work is complying with H&S legislationWhat kind of person are we looking forFirst and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. In order to be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:* An experienced Mechanical Craft/Maintenance Engineer* Educated to BTEC ONC / HNC level in Mechanical Engineering* Completed an engineering apprenticeship and/or a recognized Mechanical qualification* Experience of working to WCM (World Class Manufacturing) or other continuous improvement activities * Experience of a medium to heavy continuous manufacturing environment* Experience of using a Computerised Maintenance Management System * Bench fitting, basic workshop machining, welding and fabrication as well as sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.* Health and Safety minded* Attention to detail and persistenceWe know that our business is only as good as the people we employ, thats why we strive to invest in people like you to take our business to the next level.
