Job Description

Job Title: Facilities Caretaker for September 2022Duration: Full time/ Part time Temporary OngoingSalary: £10-£13 per hourLocation: NeathREED Further Education are looking for facilities caretaker professionals for a further education colleges in the south Wales area. The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning, caretaking, porterage and general maintenance duties experiences.General Duties

  • Responsible for safety, security and cleanliness of college sites.
  • Controlling access to the premises, maintaining security and reporting incidents, such as vandalism.
  • Reporting items needing repair, carrying out basic repairs (such as replacing broken window panes or fixing leaking taps), arranging for outside contractors to do more complicated repairs.
  • Maintaining the schools grounds, or supervising staff carrying out this work.
  • Dealing with lettings in the evenings and at weekends.
Person Specification
  • Level 2 Maths and English.
  • Previous experience of general caretaking and/or maintenance activities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive, flexible and ability to work in a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety issues.
  • Computer literacy.
