About The RoleRole: Registered ServiceManagerLocation:Mynyddcerrig, Carmarthenshire - based inBlaen Y Waun and Ty Canol homeAnnual Salary: £37,740 per annum based on 40 hours per weekA day in the life of a Registered Service Manager with Priority Child Care Involves:Being responsible for the overall management of our two specialist childrens homes, accountable for all resources and budgets, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework to deliver positive outcomes of care and high levels of employee advocacy and promotinga positive high performing culture to ensure your homes are viewed as a great place to work.Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a home environment that puts the wellbeing and quality of life of the people we support at the heart of everything you do, through embracing a person-centred planning approach and championing other new approaches as appropriate.
  • Carry out monthly monitoring of your home as set out under the Quality Assurance Policy and ensure that action plans are in place and are actioned as appropriate.
  • Proactively manage your home in relation to risk and regulation performance.
  • Carry out relevant investigations in relation to significant events as necessary.
  • Oversee complaint and safeguarding matters in conjunction with the Responsible Individual, ensuring reports are written and submitted to the relevant Director and appropriate agencies as necessary.
  • Manage your budget effectively, escalating any issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor attendance levels and take action as appropriate to minimize.
  • Build a positive working relationship with Inspectors, ensuring good communication at all times.
  • Lead inspections in conjunction with the Responsible individual.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures and practices are implemented and adhered to consistently in your home.
  • Ensures Priority childcare ltd meets all regulatory requirements (e.g. General Data Protection Regulations; Social Care Wales; CIW; Employment Legislation; Health & Safety, etc)
To be a successful Registered Service Support Manager with Priority Child Care, youll need:
  • Leadershipqualities & organisationalskills
  • Abilityto dealeffectivelywithcrisis & emergency situations in addition to prioritising large workloads
  • Excellent proficiencyin IT software, including Microsoft Office packages.
  • Effectively team lead the current staff team and identify areas of improvement as required
  • Abilityto developandpromotepositiveworkingrelationships with individual service users, their family and professional colleagues

Requirements for the Dual Service Support Manager role:
  • A Level5DiplomainLeadershipinHealth& Social Care & Children & YoungPeoplesServicesortheequivalent
  • Minimumof2years experiencein a Healthand Social caresetting with operational management
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities and standards of the service, including the need for the management and delivery of person centred services
  • Previous experience and knowledge in the Trauma and Recovery model.
