Job Description

Do you enjoy leading a team and working with toddlers and babies If so we have the perfect job opportunity for you to join a friendly nursery in Muswell Hill, London.Person Specification:NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalentExperience of managing and leading a small teamExperience of working with toddlers and babies’ childrenBasic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)Pediatric First Aid (Desirable)Some of the Room leader responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and directing staff in the room and ensuring adult/child ratios are met
  • Supporting nursery deputy and nursery manager in the smooth running of the nursery
  • To ensure children learn and develop in a fun and stimulating environment
  • To work with EYFS Curriculum and promote equal opportunity
  • Ensuring staff team complete regular observation and assessments on key children
  • Complete nursery documentation, including accident, incident, medication and risk assessment forms
  • To build positive relationships with parents and careers
  • Working to nursery policy and procedures
  • Attending parent’s evenings, open days, staff meetings, staff training as required
  • To work 40 hours per week
