Are you capable of rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty Can you deal with the slime and grime of Waste Management If so Pertemps Industrial Division need to speak with you.We are looking for Waste Operatives on a Temporary contract running through to January for our client who are based in Edinburgh (beside Fort Kinnaird.) There is no necessary experience required as full training will be provided. However, you need to have theability to carry out physically demanding and dirty work and be unphased by spoiled food waste.Immediate start with a Site Visit being conducted on Monday 31st OctoberPay - £10ph (Weekly Pay)Location - Millerhill, EdinburghHours - Full timeContract - 10 weeks temporary (possibility of extension)The main duty of the role is to receive, sort and process feedstock to optimise the operation of the plant. This will include facilitating the smooth intake, sorting and loading operation of the plant on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring compliance with the EnvironmentalPermit and Animal By-Products (ABP) regulations. To put it simply, food waste is put into giant sealed, oxygen-free tanks where it is gradually broken down to produce biogas and biofertilizer - the role will be ensuring there is no "non-food" material withinthe waste before it is entered into the tanks.Key Skills and Knowledge" Desire to obtain a forklift truck licence" Prioritisation to complete tasks efficiently" Understanding of company procedures and protocols." Ability to adapt plans to changing circumstances." Self-motivated and pro-active / Flexible and adaptable." Good Team Player but also happy to work on own."
