Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to work for an organisation who invest in talent and will provide full support whilst you work towards your SCQF L8 Digital Technologiesin IT Support.Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including deployment, configuration and setup
  • Track issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged and documented
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
You will need the following skills:
  • You’re naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues and are able to explain technical details simply, with confidence and authority
  • As an apprentice, we are expecting individuals that are keen to learn and expand their knowledge and career prospects by working and learning inside a professional, and progressive software and services company
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skillsIn this role you will develop a sense of when to escalate a problem, or ask for assistance
  • Problem solving should be something you enjoy, thinking outside of the box helps too!
  • You will enjoy maintaining friendly and professional relationships with clients and colleagues
Salary:£14,700 per annum – salary increase depending on performance.Working week:35 hours per week. During your probation you will initially working Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm. Once passed your probation, your hours are flexible.Benefits:
