Job Description

Facilities Manager (Soft Services)Based in Musselburgh£35,000 - £39,500per annumREED Business Support are delighted to be working with a highly-regarded organisation based in Musselburgh who are looking to recruit a Facilities Manager on a 6 month contract. There is scope for the contract to be extended or even made permanent so thisis a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a fantastic company.Focusing on the soft side of Facilities Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff and working towards delivering key facilities objectives. This role is a great opportunity with previous staff management experiencewithin Soft Facilities.

  • 35.75 hours per week (Monday - Friday - flexi but largely 9-5)
  • Immediate start
  • Largely office based
Key responsibilities:
  • Managing a multi-disciplinary operations team with performance management and effective leadership
  • Managing the provision and delivery of soft facilities management services to ensure a safe working environment
  • Helping to ensure high customer service levels are delivered across security, reception, travel and transport
  • Support the Head of Facilities to manage, monitor and review policies and procedures across soft FM
  • Working with external contractors where required, including developing and agreeing SLAs
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting issues faced by the operations team
  • Contributing to the formulation of budget and infrastructure plans and supporting to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Providing analysis and reports on the qualitative and quantitative success of the the operations team
  • Maintaining good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies
  • Undertaking ad hoc project management as and when required
What were looking for:
  • Previous experience leading a team in a Soft Facilities Management role
  • Proven management skills and ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of investigation, data analysis and reporting conclusions
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
Desirable:
  • Professional qualification and membership such as RICS, BIFM, ISMI
