Job Description

Contract Scotland has an immediate opportunity a Community Liaison Assistant to join our client based in Musselburgh. This is a full time, permanent job and offers a competitive salary and the chance to develop a career with a business who supports employeedevelopment and progression. You will initially be working on a project in Hawick until 2025 so you must be happy commuting between Musselburgh and Hawick. This will be a busy and varied role where duties will include:

  • Working with schools in the local area to engage children and inform them on the project
  • Liaising with local groups who are directly affected by projects and discuss any concerns they may have
  • Dealing with any project enquiries, ensuring any issues are resolved quickly and effectively within the agreed timescales
  • Ensuring all Stakeholders are kept informed of the progress of works
  • Delivering a high level of customer care at all times
  • Attending events such as careers fairs and school engagement events.
  • Dealing with any associated administrative tasks
Previous community liaison experience is not essential however you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver information to groups of people confidently and concisely.
