Job Description

Oakleaf currently have an exciting opportunity for a couple of qualified Nursing Associates to join us at our acute mental health hospital based in Mundesley. Excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make this new role their own. Candidates must be a qualified and registered Nursing Associate to apply for this role.Main function of the role:Support the Nurse in Charge to ensure each patient is provided with highly individualised care and treatment appropriate to their individual needs.Main duties of the role

  • Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code which sets out the professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates {2015, revised 2018}.
  • Maintain confidentiality of documents, knowledge of patients and information obtained as part of the role.
  • Formulation of care plans for identified needs.
  • Participation in the assessment process.
  • Preparation of documentation for ward reviews.
  • Attendance at patient meetings as required inclusive of MDT meetings.
  • Actively engage with patients supporting compliance with treatment plans.
  • Order supplies, maintain stock, ensure hygiene and cleanliness of equipment and environment and safeguard medication.
  • Recognise and work within own competence level.
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of patient interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Support, manage and guide support workers on a daily basis.
  • Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
  • Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times.
  • Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
  • In addition to these tasks, employees may at times be asked to carry out other reasonable duties as required by the service or line manager.
  • Personal Specification
  • UK registered Nursing Associate.
  • Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.
  • Ability to direct and co-ordinate programmes of care working autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Effective organisational skills.
  • Evidence of experience in embracing and implementing change to provide high quality health outcomes.
  • The ability to work in a changing, demanding and stressful situation.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • IT systems skills.
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Good presentation of self, enthusiastic, innovative and flexible.
  • Self-motivated, positive and committed.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive records of all consultations and treatment.
  • Be flexible in order to cover annual leave and sickness of team members.
