Social CareRole: Registered ManagerSalary:Circa £35,700 which includes on-call rota participationContract/Hours:Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours per week, typically 9am to 5pm with flexibility as required. Ty Laura Residential Short Breaks offers a perfect setting in which to support the development of a variety of skills such as hand-to-eye coordination, social interaction and individual development. Our staff team consists of committed, skilled andenergetic professionals who thrive on replicating a family culture to get the best out of the children and young people we support.As a Registered Manager, youll be:

  • Managing the service on a day-to-day basis, in line with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Leading a conscientious, dedicated and committed team of social care professionals
  • Responsible for all aspects of the service, ensuring a safe, positive and progressive environment for both service users and staff
  • Responsible for the services expenditure and wider budget management
  • Creating and maintaining multi-agency networks and relationships
  • Responsible for systems and processes used to monitor and review records
What Youll Bring:Our job description for the Registered Manager outlines the requirements of the role but the must-haves are:
  • Demonstrable experience of leading high performing teams and creating a positive culture of trust, respect and credibility
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent Level 4/5 Health and Social Care qualification)
  • Experience of working with children and young people with physical disabilities, sometimes with challenging emotional and behavioural needs
  • Supporting the delivery of outstanding care standards and achieving objectives to improve outcomes for children
Youll be:
  • An inspiring and experienced leader who has managed and developed their team
  • Familiar with Health and Safety legislation, along with RISCA (Wales) Act 2016 and the Social Service and Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014
  • Knowledgeable regarding Care Inspectorate Wales in terms of regulations, requirements and safeguarding practices
  • An advocate for children and young people with sound Safeguarding knowledge
