Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a background in building products, warehousing, yard and stock operations with a good understanding of Health & Safety Do you want to join well established Company where you can make a differenceand encourage continuous improvementIf you are looking for an exciting opportunity in Mosborough Sheffield, this role could be the one for you.As an Operations Manager your responsibilities would include:Manpower planning - ensuring all holidays and sickness is coveredPeople management identify training requirements - arranging training and development,mentoring direct reports,performance appraisals, disciplinaries and grievancesWarehouse, Yard Operations and Stock Control Monitor KPIs - order picking, goods delivery timelines and goods in checking Reporting on any damages Ensuring operations runs smoothly on a day to day basis Monitoring stock identification and stock rotation Identifying slow moving stockHealth, Safety & Environment- encouraging pro-active approach and enforcing H&S procedures Investigate accidents and completing reports, creating risk assessments Arrange FLT, banksman, manual handling H&S trainingStaff and contractor inductions Working closely with Group H&S and attending committee meetings Ensuring all equipment have had statutory tests within the timeframe Monitoring SSOW compliance and site compliance with legal obligations (Waste Disposal etc) Ensuring compliant with CoC (FSC, PEFC, MTCC, etc)Profit and Loss Understanding the impact of costs on the branch Managing labour and overtime costs Negotiating costs for overheadsSite Services and Maintenance - overseeing the building, site and plant maintenance.If you are computer literate, self motivated with a hands on approach and are a customer focused leader and motivator - please apply today.
