This role is focussed on the operational side of the business, enabling efficient delivery of a great visitor experience collaboratively developedby the wider property leadership team and led by the Property Curator and myself as General Manager. Rothbury What its like to work here Cragside is one of the most popular visitor attractions in the north east with around 250,000 visitors a year drawn to its incredible grade 1 listed house and 1,000 acres of grade 1 registered, wooded park and gardens. It may be located in idyllic, ruralNorthumberland, but you will be working in a fast paced and exciting environment, with no two days the same.The high performing team you will be joining is experienced in a broad range of disciplines, with everyone working closely together to look after Cragside for our visitors, both present and future, to enjoy.With your inherent motivation to get things done, you will enjoy working collaboratively with the Property Curator and other key colleagues based on and off the property, as well as like-minded partner organisations. What youll be doing A resilient, visible, people manager adept at driving strong performance within your teams, you will be as comfortable overseeing daily opening arrangements and targets, as you will be developing plans to improve the visitor experience and managing budgets.With a keen eye for detail, you will champion the highest standards of presentation across the property, with a similar focus on service excellence, accessibility, and safety.Calm, confident and capable, you will relish using your problem-solving skills to meet the challenges our unique visitor operation can present. Your astute commercial outlook and absolute focus on customer service will also ensure that the property optimisesthe income and fundraising opportunities that enable it to deliver its conservation and visitor experience goals.You will also put your communications skills to great effect both internally and externally in order to lead your teams, work collegiately with colleagues and also promote Cragside.Youll be a member of the Property Leadership Team and a Duty Manager on a rota basis. The work pattern for the role is Sunday to Thursday each week.
