Northumberland Children and Young people’s service (CYPS) are excited to advertise 2 band 7 specialist nurse / advanced practitioner posts. It is an exciting time to join Northumberland CYPS as we are part of an NHS England 4 Week Wait Trail blazer site, and by becoming a member of our team you will be part of the improvement to ensure prompt access to mental health support for children. CYPS currently provides the specialist mental health service for children (0-18) within Northumberland. Within CYPS there are 3 pathways Mental Health, Learning Disability and Neurodevelopmental to support children and young people who present with a range of significant difficulties requiring assessment and Intervention. We are looking at enhancing our service provision and are pleased to be recruiting 2 Specialist nurse /advanced practitioners with one working directly into our Mental Health pathway whilst the other will support our neurodevelopmental team.As a key clinical member of our CYPS team you will work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team who carry out; •Assessment, and evidence based intervention for a range of mental health issues.•Support comprehensive transition support package to those young people who are approaching their 18th birthday and may need continuing support as adults.•Provide Training, consultation, support and advice to front line staff working in targeted services for childrenWe work closely with our partner agencies to ensure the graduation mental health response is implemented.
