The Service: Providing strategic procurement for Northumberland County Council; the aim is to provide a sustainable and cost-effective procurement service which helps drive economic benefits and service quality for all stakeholder organisations.The RoleThe Contracting function comprises two teams; one for Construction and the other for Social Care & Professional Services and IT. There is one role available within Construction and the other within IT. The team is well-established and has positive relationshipsacross the Council. We operate in an agile environment meaning that the successful applicants can be flexible in their work location. The central procurement office sits in County Hall, Morpeth but there are a range of other working sites available acrossNorthumberland, with the role offered with a mix of office and home-working.The team has a commitment to work-life balance and Senior Managers who understand the importance of flexibility. About the Role The post-holder will be responsible for the deliveryof a defined number of procurement projects within the relevant category.
