The Integrated Wellbeing Service comprises 36 members of staff working within Health Improvement, Specialist Stop Smokingand Health Trainer teams who are responsible for delivering services and influencing parts of the system to improve the health of our residents in Northumberland.We are seeking to recruit a Band 4 Health Trainer to work with clients to improve their physical, emotional and social health and wellbeing by coaching individuals and groups and identifying and initiating opportunties for change.The post holder will work across Northumberland to contribute to improving health and reducing diseases associated with lifestyle, by supporting residents to develop healthier behaviours. The successful postholder will support the creation and delivery of initiativesaimed at residents in line with local health and wellbeing priorities.Main duties and responsibilities:Delivery of one to one health and wellbeing clinics, groups and programmes either face to face, telephone clinics and online faciltation.Working with the Integrated Wellbeing Service Health Trainer Team and the wider public health team to support individuals to improve their physical, emotional and social health and wellbeing by coaching individuals and groups to identify and initiate opportunitiesfor change.Using the principles of Making Every Contact Count (MECC), supporting individuals to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing and supporting them in initiating and sustaining appropriate behavioural changes to improve their physical, emotionaland social wellbeing.Helping people to find and use the right services to support health improvement.Working with the wider public health team to undertake capacity building work.Recording and reporting activities and results on SystmOne.Support development and delivery of innovative initiatives, campaigns and materials.The successful applicant must have a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and have experience of working with individuals or community groups in the health sector or voluntary sector in some capacity. It would be desirable for applicants to have experienceof using a Making Every Contact Count (MECC) approach.
