Job Description

Adecco Northumberland are looking for an Applications Engineer! Salary - £45,000+To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and release new safety restraint systems.
  • Act as a primary technical interface for customers and the operations teams. To identify and provide customers with innovative solutions, that will enhance their products and increase occupant safety.
  • Works in partnership with the site GM:
-Assisting with customer visits and technical presentations-Supporting Purchasing to identify and source suppliers
  • Supports other functions (Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Project Management) in order to deliver cost effective solutions and NPI, to meet/exceed customer and regulatory requirements, in a specified timeframe.
  • Continually develops in-depth technical knowledge of all products and their potential in the marketplace.
  • Builds relationships with customers through all forms of efficient communication, including frequent visits throughout the UK and overseas.
  • Within the engineering teamwork with the Manufacturing Engineer to support development of production processes/controls.
  • Proficient use of Solidworks 3D CAD
Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)Preferably Sis Sigma trainedExperience5-7 Years engineering experience in manufacturing companyExperience of working directly with customersExperience of using DFMEASs to drive design and validation requirementsAble to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects Language Skills Good communication skillsFluent in EnglishCompetent in German would be desirable Technical/Computer Skills Proficient use of Solidworks 3D CAD to develop, communicate and innovate products and systems.
