Job Description

The role of Emergency Fire Crew can be challenging but very rewarding. After your initial 12 day residential training you will be abe to be deployed as a firefighter.Securitas provide Firefighters to various fire services across the UK in the case of major incident, industrial action or any other circumstance that could reduce normal fire service capabilityWhilst on deployment there may be instances where there are requirements to work in potentially dangerous environmentincluding but not limited to work at height, confined spaces including partial or total darkness, work outdoors. Supporting a number of Fire Services we are able to offer an opportunity for you to become a trained fire fighter.Essential SkillsTo work with us you will need to be confident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written language.You need to be able to complete a 12 day residential training course to initially become qualified and then 6/7 days residential CPD annually thereafter.You should be prepared to work away from home and be able to deal with life threatening situations calmly and professionally.Desirable Skills

You must be physically fit and capable of taking part in rescue simulation and emergency procedures, wearing and using heavyequipment.

Able to work at heights, in confined dark spaces

Have good eyesight with normal color vision for Reading O2meters and safety.

Ability to wear full face mask protection.

An understanding of the need to portray a professional image at all times.

Proactive & attentive to detail.

Ability to deal with situations politely, tactfully & with discretion.

Willingness to commit to working as part of a team
