Job Description

Transport Planner for a 63mil turnover business based near Derby - A fantastic bunch of people, outstanding facilities and growing all the time! Start May June 2022 - Competitive salary and bonus and genuine career role.We are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join the team in South Derbyshire. A fleet of 20+ vehicles ranging from Artics to 3.5T vans using ESP & GTS systems. Brilliant reputation in the industry and award winning people and products!The position:

To plan a fleet of 20+ vehicles 24 - 48 hours in advance across the UK
To plan and book Sub-Contractors 24 - 48 hours in advance across the UK
Primary point of contact for drivers via telephone and text
Assist in arranging vehicle services and maintenance
Managing drivers hours
Communicating between Dispatch, Sales and Compliance Departments
Be actively involved in daily / weekly reports

The candidate:

To have previous experience in a Transport Planner Role
Excellent geographical knowledge
Good Computer Skills
Attention to detail is a must
Knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive
Confident using Microsoft and Google systems
