Job Description

Due to the creation of an additional 7 suite private wing, we are currently looking to recruit at Sunrise of Mobberley, a CQC Rated ?GOOD? Home for passionate Care Assistants to join our growing team and we?d like you to join us!We?re a 119 bedded Residential and Dementia Specialist Nursing home based in Mobberley, Knutsford. The home is located close to Knutsford, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Hale, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Conveniently located just a short distance from the M6 and 15 minutes from Manchester Airport.We have the following shifts available: Days: Long days 7am ? 7pm (Combination of short shifts will be 7am-2.30pm/ 1.30pm-8.30pm) About the rolePrevious experience within the Care sector is not essential as we provide full comprehensive training. As an organisation we are extremely proud of the training and career development that we offer to all our team members. It?s really important for us and our residents to ensure that you to feel fully confident and comfortable in your role. All our new care team members undergo a 2 week induction programme including eLearning, commencement of your care certificate underpinning knowledge of 15 standards and practical sessions.Our Management team and Senior Care Assistants will be there every step of your career to guide and support you.Working as part of a highly committed team at Sunrise the Care Assistant is one of the key and fundamental roles within our communities. As Care Assistant you will put the residents care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. At Sunrise we pride ourselves on the warmth and support we provide to our residents and their families. We promote independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.As Care Assistant you will assist with daily activities providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care as needed. You will help with transporting residents to appointments and activities outside of the community, serve food in the dining room, complete dining room clean-up and tidy resident?s room.You?ll also have the opportunity to work across both Assisted Living and ReminiscenceAbout youAssisted Living provides people focused services for seniors in spacious and secure communities. We need a cheerful, compassionate person to carry out a wide range of general and personal care tasks, offering our residents emotional as well as physical support. Sound judgement, initiative and problem solving ability are extremely important. The ability to read, write and communicate in English will also be vital.Key things about you;

  • Experience preferred but not essential ? however a caring and compassionate attitude is.
  • NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the qualification
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Medication administration training and/or a willingness to undertake training if required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours - working alternative weekends
