Job Description

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skillsand Employabilitysectors.Job Title:Game Design TutorLocation:London based Hourly rate:£26 - £30 p/h(dependent on experience)Requires the candidate to hold a DBS and be able to provide referencesType:Freelance contractEssential Criteria for all candidates

  • Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 4 or above (CTLLS/CET etc.)
  • Must have experience of delivering qualifications in Gaming Development/Design.
  • Experience of teaching, ideally in a post 16 setting
  • Working knowledge and skills within 3D modelling programs (e.g. Blender) and gameplay scripting (e.g. Unity/C Sharp).
  • IT literate, knowledge of Microsoft packages, online/digital learning and webinar based technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
  • Full, clean, UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
    • Duties:
  • Develop, deliver and supportlearners working towards theLevel 2 Games Design and Development training programme.
  • Identify learner’s strengths and weakness’ through initial assessment and support them accordingly
  • Liaise with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that assessment and unit delivery are being achieved within a timely manner.
  • Contribute towards and monitor ILPs and progress reviews.
  • Ensure that all documentation is compliant with ESFA requirements.
  • Work closely with the Functional Skills delivery team to ensure that Maths and English is being fully embedded in to the curriculum.
  • The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
