Job Description

A starting salary of £34K rising to £36k + OvertimeWorking Monday to Thursday nightsFurther training, development, and career growthDue to continued growth, this successful plastics manufacturing company is currently looking for a Senior Injection Moulding Technician to work in their state-of-the-art facility, where you will be the responsible "go-to" specialist on the nightshift, dealingwith any production issues that arise (no tool changes carried out on this shift).This position is vital to ensuring efficient production; carrying out various manufacturing tasks within the production area ensuring machines run efficiently and to specific customers and company standards.With continued growth, the role offers career development and further IMT training.As Senior Technician your duties will include -

  • Ensuring the shift runs smoothly, overseeing staff on shift
  • Provide support to the mould shop area including support of the Technical, Operations Team Leaders.
  • Assist the shift setters in developing processes to provide better quality, higher efficiency and reduced development time.
  • Ensure that all tools and machines are set up to the requirements of the Quality Control / Setting Sheet for the relevant job
  • Machine maintenance, trouble shooting and process optimisation activities.
  • Driving continuous improvements, ensuring product quality is maintained & good working practices are adhered to.
To be successful in the role of Senior Injection Moulding Technician, the ideal candidate will -
  • Have experience of working in an Injection Moulding environment as a Setter or Technician.
  • Be experienced in trouble shooting and problem solving, tool trials, NPI, process optimisation, and the complete process setup.
  • Have a good understanding of injection mould tooling, how they work and what issues to look out for.
  • Have experience of maintenance of machinery experience and a good hands-on approach for machine fault finding.
