Job Description

NIGHT CONTROLLERMonday to Friday20,000 per annum10pm till 7amQuest in Coventry are currently seeking a Night Controller to join a busy warehouse based in Minworth.Your job role will include:

  • Work and support the Hub operation to monitor scanning and loading of product to outbound trunk/feeder vehicles.
  • Manage the outbound loading/manifesting of Hub based delivery drivers
  • Analyse driver debrief report and identify/address and performance related issues.
  • Liaise with internal and external transport providers to monitor trunk/feeder arrival times into out based points.
  • Effective communication with drivers regarding changes to rounds/procedures and any day to day issues.
  • Ensure driver procedures are adhered to and monitor/manage daily compliance.
  • Collating and issuing driver memo and letters reference any important changes to Customer and internal
  • Monitor and ensure all customer escalation(s) are responded to and being dealt with in a timely manner
  • Exception reporting i.e. liaise with service partner and customer and ensure service performance is achieved.
  • Monitor and ensure contingency request are adhered to and if required manage any additional activity related to re-labelling i.e. Phillips medical etc
  • Monitor and update daily handover report and ensure that this is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Manage and support the role out of any new business implementation(s).
  • Monitor and record of any same day movements/recovery via the RICO DA system.
  • Ensure that a nightly floor walk is completed with the nightshift management. Thus, identify and resolve any issues.
  • To undertake any other duties as required by management that will improve the quality of service.
  • To be receptive of training and development opportunities that may be necessary for the successful completion of designated tasks or specific project.
  • Continual review of all working practises/process to improve efficiency in operating method.
  • You will be expecting to be flexible and work weekends and carry out duties as required by the business.
    • Your Objectives:
  • Ensure that the 90% of network system closure is completed by 07:30am
  • Support the management and reduction of hub mis-sorts and the improvements required in the hub outbound trunk manifesting
  • Monitor scanner compliance and ensure all drivers depart with working equipment.
  • Ensure that the network scanned performance of 98% is achieved on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all Site id’s are in place and being scanned.
