Job Description

Are you anAssistant Accountantlooking for your next roleAre you looking to join a growing forward-thinking companyReed Accountancy are currently working with a client who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them at their Birmingham office on a full-time, permanent basis. You would be joining a company with huge ambition to grow in a really excitingtime for the company. Please note this a full-office based position.Your responsibilities will be:

  • Daily sales reporting
  • Bank reconciliation and transaction posting
  • Assisting in timely monthly management accounts
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners as needed
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits
  • Pre-payments, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
You willneed:
  • Experience in similar role is desirable
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Good mathematical skills with ability to spot numerical errors
  • Experience using Excel and other accounting softwares
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
