Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician, for the HS2 project, to be based near Curdworth, Warwickshire.Purpose of the Electrician role:Installation of electrical containment and systems,Test and inspect to BS7671 18th edition,General maintenance of plant on a precast yard and on bridging sites (motors, lighting, PLC etc)Health, Safety & Environmental

  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and encourages others to work safely through training, briefings
  • Be familiar with the requirements defined in the Safety and Health at Work
  • Attends near miss/accident investigations when regards equipment.
  • Attends daily briefings.
  • Educates and empowers colleagues and subcontractors on the importance of stopping any activity if any discrepancy with the basic procedure is identified
  • Participates in accident/incident investigations.
  • Adheres to periodic risk reviews
  • Keeps up to date with changes in legislation
  • Attends H&S committee on a regular basis to consult workers and engage with them to promote and develop effective measures to secure Health, Safety and welfare
Production
  • Handles daily maintenance tasks
  • Flexible with time to work out of normal hours and some weekends to undertake, inspections, tests, PPM, repairs or to solve urgent breakdown issues to ensure the least possible downtime to critical plant and equipment.
  • Gives electrical support to the delivery team
You must be a fully qualified Electrician and also need the following:
  • 18th Edition
  • JIB Gold card
  • 2391/2 Test and Inspection
IPAF and PASMA competencies are advantageous but not essential.This is a long term position with excellent overtime opportunities. Interested in an Electrician position in the Warwickshire area please apply and we will be in touch.
