Job Description

Overview and Responsibilities Care Support WorkerFoxes Location:Minehead, SomersetSalary: £21,168.40 - £22,034.38 (FTE £22,880.00 - £23,816.00.00)Hours: 40 hours per weekTerm time only plus 10 additional daysWelcome to Foxes Academy, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities, situated in the friendly seaside town of Minehead. Our aim is to equip our young adults with the life and hospitality skills to become work ready, life ready.The main purpose of the role:As a Care Support Worker, you will ensure you meet the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.As an employee of The Reynard Care and Support Agency your absolute priority is to safeguard the service users in our care. You must work professionally, effectively and sensitively with your team to ensure that all service users are safe and feel safe withany concerns listened to and acted upon appropriately.Key duties:

  • Assist service users who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and the toilet.
  • Help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including
  • Incontinence, and help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Comply with the agencys guidelines and policies at all times.
  • Encourage service users to remain as independent as possible.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the Personal Service User plan (care plan).
  • Complete medication record, if applicable.
  • Ensure all paperwork is appropriately completed and kept up-to-date.
  • Support individuals in attending planned activities in the community whilst promoting individual interests.

  • Level 2 English and Maths or prepared to work towards
  • Care work experience (Desired)
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care or working towards
