Job Description

Our client is a growing civil engineering/utilities company dedicated to delivering exceptional infrastructure solutions. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Office Manager to join the team and contribute to their continued success.As the Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative and office support functions. Your organisational and leadership skills will be crucial in managing daily operations and fostering a productive andefficient work environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in the civil engineering/utilities sector and contribute to our ongoing growth.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including managing administrative tasks, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior staff members.
  • Maintain and improve office efficiency by implementing and optimising processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain office policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Handle and prioritise incoming correspondence, emails, and calls, redirecting or responding as necessary.
  • Manage office budgets, expense tracking, and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with HR in recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding employees.
  • Supervise and support office staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Maintain and update office records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
  • Experience in the civil engineering/utilities sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Proficient in office software applications (e.g., MS Office, project management tools, databases).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
