Job Description

A highly regarded regional IFA & wealth firm have an opportunity for a Compliance Assistant to join their team.IFA Compliance AssistantTamworth B78 3PQFull Time or Part Time, Permanent£25,000 - 30,000 per annum, pro rataRemote/hybrid working options consideredPlease Note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UKSince their launch in 2009, our client has become one of the UKs leading independent financial advisory firms.The practice provides independent financial advice with a primary focus towards retirement, pensions, investments and wealth planning.About the IFA Compliance Assistant RoleWorking closely with the Head of Compliance, you will play an important role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and to ensure the fair treatment of clients remains at the forefront of the business.Duties will include:

  • Assisting the Head of Compliance with the overall compliance operations of the firm
  • Providing guidance to advisers, support staff and paraplanning team
  • Accurately reviewing pre & post advice files to ensure advice is sound and in line with the firms processes.
  • Providing feedback to advisers and paraplanners on file reviews and ensuring any remedial action required is completed
  • Maintaining accurate, up to date and detailed compliance records and registers
  • Other duties may include assisting the paraplanning team with research and report writing when needed.
You will have:
  • An administration, paraplanning, compliance or quality review background in Financial Services
  • A solid understanding of pensions, investments and ideally mortgages
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • An understanding of FCA regulation
  • You will be analytical, insightful & an effective communicator with an ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Financial services qualification is desirable although not essential
