Job Description

Trainee Finance AssistantTemporary contractExcellent SalaryEdinburghMeraki Talent are working alongside one of the UKs biggest gardening chains to appoint a Trainee Finance Assistant. This is a full-time, temporary opportunity based in Midlothian. Suitable candidates must have the ability to commute to the office on a weeklybasis.The purpose of this role is to provide administrative assistance to the accounts payable department within the finance team. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Raising purchase orders
  • Processing invoices and credits notes
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers
  • Liaising with various team members of all levels
  • Completing monthly supplier statement reconciliations, investigating, and resolving any variances
  • Assisting with monthly cost of sales and outstanding supplier credit investigations
To be suitable for this role you must have:
  • Strong excel knowledge
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Strong investigation skills
  • Ability to work in high paced, high-volume environment
  • Initiative to drive continuous process improvement
  • Well organised with an attention to detail
