This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join a fast-growing Wholesale and Distribution business based near Mexborough, South Yorkshire. As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will work on behalf of a growing group of companies to manage the smooth running of all warehouse and distribution activities including:* Goods In quantity and quality checking* Accurate labelling of product lines* Timely despatch of all customer orders* Maintaining a safe and healthy work environmentWere looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Operations Manager who constantly assesses working practices and efficiencies.Employment Details:* Full-time / Permanent* £45,000-£50,000 per annum* Mexborough, South Yorkshire (occasional travel to another site)This Group Warehouse Operations Manager is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to be part of an exciting, fast-paced, growing business with a fun and ambitious senior management team.Background Experience & Qualifications:* Previous experience in a Warehouse Management role is essential.* You will be from a fast-paced distribution environment and always looking for ways to improve productivity, service levels and costs.* A proven track record of driving through process improvements.* Have a pro-active approach to setting and maintaining standards in Health & Safety.* Superb communication and people management skills.* Highly developed IT skills and use of Microsoft Office.* Comfortable with MI reporting, managing budgets and working at a strategic level as well as being hands-on.The Role in a bit more detail: * Overseeing warehousing and distribution operations at all locations.* Manage daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity & shipping.* Prioritising the Receipt of goods and the ongoing stock management to ensure target of 100% stock availability and order fulfilment is achieved.* Manage warehouse layout and bin locations work to ensure maximum efficiency for order picking.* Ensure that inventory by quantity & location is always accurately reflected on the data stock management system (Brightpearl)* Ensure we use most cost-effective delivery options and couriers, particularly for overseas orders.* Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded* Carry out regular/random stock checks to minimise leakage and highlight stock differences.* Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress* Oversee the planned maintenance of all machinery, and equipment* Drive continuous improvements in Health & Safety across the whole business creating a strong Health & Safety culture.* Produce and review weekly and monthly operational, delivery statistics (including costs) and stock reports as agreed with Finance.* Produce KPI Reports to measure performance against agreed targets and against previous year/month performances.If this role sounds of interest, please apply today with an up-to-date CV and well be in touch to tell you more.Key Appointments UK Ltd will assess your suitability for the role based on the information contained in your CV and application.
