Job Description

Job Title: SEN TeacherLocation: Mexborough, South YorkshireStart Date: ImmediatelyFlexible working: Part-time or full-time.Tradewind are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in Mexborough. The school caters to students with severe Special Educational Needs and Developmental Issues in KS3, and we are looking for someone who is passionateabout making a difference in their lives.Responsibilities of the role:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the needs of students with severe SEN.
  • Collaborate with the SEN Team, including 2 SEN TAs, to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning
  • Assess and monitor the progress of students and implement appropriate interventions as necessary
  • Engage with parents, carers, and outside agencies to provide a comprehensive support network for students
  • Ensure that all students have equal access to the curriculum and that the classroom environment is safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning
  • Work closely with the schools senior leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of the schools policies and strategies
Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience teaching students with severe SEN, including experience with students with diverse and complex learning difficulties.
  • Excellent knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and experience working within an inclusive education setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to constantly improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • DBS Check.
  • Team-Teach qualification is desirable but not essential.
