Job Description

A sector renowned manufacturing company is seeking a Refrigeration Project Engineer to join their manufacturing site in South Yorkshire. As the Refrigeration Project Engineer you will work with the Design Engineers in the USA and Sales teams to bring newproducts to the UK and EMEA.Full training will be provided on the products (1 month in USA initially) and then occasional travel to EMEA to review sales opportunities and customer requirements.Refrigeration experience is essential so you can converse with the engineering team and sales teams on the customer requirements whilst discussing legal regulations and product specifications. You may also assist the purchasing team with supplier visitsin EMEA region.Benefits:

Key responsibilities of Refrigeration Project Engineer:
  • Main point of contact for EMEA Technical Team for new projects within regions.
  • Operate as project lead to ensure focused efforts to deliver products to market in timely manner.
  • Collaborate with US engineering team on strategies, materials and refrigerants.
  • Act as project manager and lead new product implementation to UK production lines.
  • Active role in regulatory requirements including WEEE, CE, UKCA, Rohs, REACH, F-Gas, Energy Labelling, IEC Safety compliance, sustainability awareness and Waste Materials Legislation.
  • Management of UK R&D laboratory and the ISO 17025 certification.
  • Maintain documents for compliance by completing approval applications, recording test results, preparing investigative reports, preparing Declarations of conformity, and maintaining compliance database.
  • Coordinate with US quality group and Engineering Team on quality issues.
  • Assist sales team with presentations as the technical expert.
Skills Required of Refrigeration Project Engineer:
  • Ideally Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • 5+ years experience in refrigeration
  • Ability to travel to USA and EMA
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ideally hold 3D CAD software knowledge
