A special school in Knowsley are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from January 2024.Prospero Teaching are working with a specialist SEN setting who are seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant who is interested in a future career in Special Needs teaching. Our client is a Specialist school supporting severe learning difficulties, ASC, profoundand multiple learning difficulties, sensory and complex needs - providing a differentiated curriculum for pupils aged 3 - 19 years old.As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA), you will work alongside a specialist team of teachers, care staff and support assistants to deliver a programme of learning that is tailored to meet the specific needs of SEN pupils. A key aspectof working in this field is identifying individual needs and being responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside specialist teachers. In addition to supporting pupils to access learning activities, you will take on additional responsibilities which will include contributing to Education, Health andCare Plans and reviewing pupils progress.Specific role description· Providing 1:1 support students with SLD, ASC, PMLD, Sensory & Complex needs · Minimum Rate-of-pay: £90 per-day· Role Type: Long-Term, Full time· Start Date: 8th January 2024· Working Hours:8:30am - 3:30pmWe also welcome applications from graduates with a range of degree specialisms.
