We are currently recruiting for multiple Solicitors or Barristers to join the Crown Prosecution Service to forge a highly rewarding career in criminal prosecutions. Following an initial training period, a typical working week will see you spending60-80% of your time in court, prosecuting a wide range of offences and utilising your varied skill set to achieve desired outcomes. The rest of your time will be spent on case preparation. This role is well suited to those with experience of, or an interestin, conducting advocacy and handling your own busy caseload.A combination of induction training, bespoke training modules, mentoring and on-the-job coaching makes a career as a Prosecutions Lawyer much more accessible to lawyers considering a change in direction. You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative teamenvironment where everyone is given the encouragement, support, and opportunity to succeed, deliver the highest standards of service and work with a large degree of autonomy.THE CANDIDATE:A genuine interest in criminal prosecutions, coupled with the qualification of Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales are the basic requirements to be considered for this role. Whilst experience in a contentious area of law is preferable, this role isopen to lawyers from all disciplines with the desire to learn, aptitude for legal reasoning and the ability to discuss and portray their passion for this area of work.A qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales, you will hold (or be entitled to hold) a full practising certificate, will enjoy casework and will be motivated by the opportunity to conduct advocacy in court on a very regular basis.
