Job Description

THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are working with a North West based SME electronic manufacturing business as they look to recruit an International Head of Sales, in what will be a brand new position for the business.The company are particularly interested in speaking to experienced Sales or Business Development professionals with experience working within electronic manufacturing who have experience of international sales.THE JOB:The purpose of this role is to lead the sales team to grow the turnover and market share of the business by being solely responsible for the sales function and particularly our Export Sales portfolio and leading the internal sales team.On starting this role, you will be asked to:

  • Lead & manage the sales team to develop and deliver the sales strategy to considerably increase turnover, market share and grow the business.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and work closely with the Divisional and Group MD as required to make it happen.
  • Ensure enquiries and orders are effectively managed in terms of technical specification, pricing and delivery.
  • Liaising closely with the Technical and Marketing teams on new product development and launches.
  • Gather all relevant market intelligence, looking at competitor information and product certification.
  • Develop sales promotional plans and organise / provide sales, design and installation training where required in conjunction with the technical department.
  • Work with internal departments (Production, Technical, Finance for example) to develop and maintain procedures that ensure excellent levels of customer service and on time delivery of products.
  • Attend UK & international exhibitions / trade shows of relevance to the industry as per business requirements
  • Provide market intelligence as required including, but not limited to: sales performance / forecasts, quotation activity and identification of new opportunities as well as looking at new initiatives (strategy plans).
  • Attend Divisional Management meetings as required.
  • Identify appropriate projects for use in company marketing and PR activities.
  • Identify, develop and build on, new and existing relationships with our distributors.
  • Identify and present the potential benefits of any new product development and testing that the business should pursue to improve its position in global markets.
  • Planning and preparing travel arrangements to visit customers.
  • THE PERSON:This role is most suited to an individual who considers themselves to be a go-getter and hunter salesperson, who has the drive and instinct to find opportunities for business development and business growth.
  • Experience in a senior sales position
  • Experience in a role with line management responsibility
  • Experience of managing international sales
  • An individual who has a strong customer approach and mentality
  • Previous experience of working with distributors both within the UK and Internationally
  • Proven Track record of consistently achieving (and exceeding) sales based KPIs
