Job Description

You will be designing products and associated equipment for all manufacturing sites. Involves refining and upgrading existing products, through to designing new products.Client DetailsThe client is a leading manufacturer with sites across the North West.DescriptionResponsibilities:

  • To design products and associated equipment.
  • Designs to meet current legislation, building regulations & legal compliance.
  • Review & refine existing products with the view of deskilling the job (simplify) & reducing cost without compromising quality or integrity of product.
  • Design new products that are optimum for the production process within the sites.
  • Use Solidworks to improve previous designs and produce virtual models / technical drawings of the products.
  • Altering and renewing drawings when required.
ProfileKey attributes:
  • Experienced in the use of, or willing to learn the use of Solidworks® 3D drawing package.
  • Understand multi-material manufacturing technologies, processes and installation.
  • Excellent communication skills, great command of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, but also good team working skills.
  • High standard computer skills, including proficiency of Microsoft Office packages i.e. excel, outlook, word, power point and project.
