ASSISTANT FINANCIAL REPORTING ACCOUNTANT25-30KLIVERPOOLHYBRID WORKINGRobert Walters are recruiting on behalf of an established business based in central Liverpool who are seeking to recruit an Assistant Financial Reporting Accountant. The Assistant Financial Reporting Accountant role is primarily responsible for supporting the Financial Reporting Accountants with the preparation of periodic analysis and general ledger entries to support the production of accounts.Key Responsibilities - Support the allocation and monitoring of accruals and prepayments, liaising with supporting functions to ensure timely recognition of invoices. - Maintenance of Fixed Asset register to ensure that all assets are correctly recorded and depreciated - Control the intercompany accounting process including ensuring all invoices are authorized, processed, paid and coded. - Performing formal reconciliations of all intercompany accounts- Production of period end journals and reconciliations- Produce Balance sheet reconciliation - Review and monitor key balance sheet reconciliations reporting key trends and identifying and reporting areas of both risk and opportunity in the company balance sheets.Key Requirements - AAT qualified or Accounting & Finance Degree equivalent qualification- Demonstrable experience in a busy multi-site finance environment- Good accounting systems knowledge- Experience of reconciling general ledger balance sheet accounts- Good Microsoft Excel and analytical skills- Excellent communication skills with an ability to build robust working relationships with co-members in and outside of the Finance environment- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and a number of tasks concurrently- The ability to grasp complex processes quickly- Proactive team player, with a flexible can do attitudeRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
