Job Description

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching AssistantLocation: HalewoodEmployer: Tradewind RecruitmentTradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Halewood. The ideal candidates will have prior experience in supporting SEND students and possess strong communicationskills.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support and assistance to SEND students.
  • Implement individualised learning plans under the direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students education.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEND students is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
