Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Retail Catering Supervisor for our large team based in Manston.You will effectively manage within budgetary constraints, assist with planning, and cost menus as per company and client specification whilst maximising profitable sales by the introduction & maintenance of food service brands. You will also continuously developand improve food quality and hygiene standards across all areas along with preparation and service of all restaurant & hospitality requirements.You will need to have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to drive as part of this role in a company commercial vehicle.Main roles and responsibilitiesDeliver a consistent level of service within the Companys standard & contract specification and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targetsEnsure all costs & expenditure is within the budgeted levels agreed between the Client & OCS. Control all costs associated within your department including food purchasing and consumables as agreed with your line managerEffectively manage the preparation and completion of menu planning, ordering & accurate stock control. Timely recording & remitting of all company bookwork. Obtaining purchases from OCS nominated suppliers.Assist with disciplinary and grievance issues consistently, fairly and in line with company policyComply with Company & statutory regulations relating to Food Safety, Health & Safety At Work, Cleanliness, COSHH, Fire & Accident Reporting. Maintain all records in line with legislation and company policy.Carry out on the job training in such areas as Food Safety, Health & Safety, Unit evacuation policy, dangerous equipment, and basic food hygiene.Ensure Food Cost percentage targets are met.Initiate a process of continuous improvement by undertaking company promotions & extraordinary merchandising initiatives to ensure the profitable growth of the contract.To succeed in this role, you will needFull UK driving licenceMust be a qualified chef with flair and imagination and a full craft background.Fully fluent in spoken & written English.706/1/2 or equivalentHND Membership of HCIMA desirableFood Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 (level 3 preferred)Experience within catering environment gained in contract cateringWhat will you get in return
