Due to investment and growth, a global manufacturer of complex components to the Aerospace, Defence and Energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Shift Manager to join the team. Candidates are sought with experience working in fast paced complex manufacturingenvironment with excellent people management skills and good understating of Continuous Improvement Techniques.Commutable from: Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield, Sheffield, Newark On Trent, Sutton In Ashfield. Salary: £ 36,000 - £ 39,250 p.a. + benefits Suitable for: Shift Manager, Shift Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Leader, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Cell Manager.The Role Manage a team of skilled technicians to identify training requirements, assist with training when required and allocate the team accordingly to work priority and business needsEnsuring adherence to Quality procedures and that team members produce conforming productsMonitoring production to ensure efficiency / production targets are achieved ensuring both internal and external customer satisfactionAttend and contribute to production meetingsCommunicate with the teams by utilising the visual management techniques.Through the utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality on a continuous basisThe Candidate Preferably HND/Degree in Engineering related disciplineProven track record within manufacturing management, preferably within a complex engineering environment,Continuous improvement knowledgeable (Lean 6 sigma, yellow belt, problem solving, visual management)Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasksPragmatism and the ability to think laterally to resolve problemsAbility to adhere to company controls regarding manufacturing processesWell organised with a right first-time attitudeFor more information on the vacancy of Shift Manager, send a CV to Danielle Neve.
