Job Description

Nicholas Howard is recruiting on behalf of an ambitious and award-winning client, that has been placed in the best companies to work for in the UK not once, but twice!The company is based in Mansfield and has a great opportunity open for a Commercial Management Accountant/Finance Analyst to join their growing team.Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. This is a permanent role offering hybrid working patterns.The main tasks of the role will include, but not limited to:

  • Production of the Monthly Finance Board & MALCO (Management Asset and Liability Committee) packs
  • Production of interest rate risk GAP estimates on a weekly / monthly basis
  • Updating the Basis risk scenarios for inclusion in the MALCO pack
  • Providing Product Pricing/profitability information for product committee and the Products Manager
  • Providing forward looking stress testing for Management
  • Preparation of the company Budget, Corporate plan and quarterly forecasts
  • Updating and maintaining the companys 7 year model
  • Assisting with the preparation of the companys ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan workings
  • Working with the Change and Analysis department in the provision of management information using Connexica
  • Act as a point of contact for financial queries from the other departments, escalating to the Financial Controller or Finance Director if needed.
  • Providing Commercial Analysis for the Senior Management as requested
  • Provide ad hoc assistance to the Financial Controller and Finance Director as and when required
  • Updating the ALMIS system on a monthly basis in order to generate accurate and timely MI
  • Assist in the testing and implementation of new systems within the department
  • Work with the Assistant Management Accountant in the processing of the monthly and ad hoc management information both as set tasks and as and when required by either the Financial Controller or Finance Director.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
  • Professional accounting qualification either attained or in the final stages of studying towards (CIMA, ACCA etc)
  • Knowledge of accountancy systems
  • Knowledge of current finance legislation
  • Self sufficient
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly competent in the use of Excel and Microsoft packages
  • High oral and written communication skills
