Job Description

I am delighted to be supporting my client in recruiting a Demand and Workforce Capacity Planner, based predominantly at their site nr Mansfield.Client DetailsMy client are a fast-growing, acquisitive market-leader who have a strong foothold in the FMCG / Retail industry! They are going from strength-to-strength and require strong supply chain candidates to support them in their ambitious growth plans.DescriptionThe Demand and Workforce Capacity Planner is a hands-on role, with significant responsibility to ensure that both short and long-term plans are fully resourced to reflect the changing operational requirements and needs of the business.

  • You will ensure the integrity of the data and utilise your analytical skills to spot any issues with the sources of this data, following by forecasting, identifying and anticipating risks to the operational plan and how you will resource these
  • You engage with agencies and partner with the warehouse management team to agree a timely resource plan that meets the needs of the business
  • You will be have a strong stakeholder orientation and maintain proactive communication
  • You will be adept at implementing and working with various ERP Inc. people, and forecasting/capacity planning tools. You will create an appropriate resource planning framework, as well formulating appropriate plans to meet the needs of the distribution operation
  • You will be accountable for analysing and owning the key site metrics on resourcing performance and will assess trends and identify areas for improvement. You will monitor key processes for capacity and demand, identify capacity constraints, provide analysis and utilise your knowledge and research methods to benchmark capacity planning activities and drive best practice results
  • ProfileThe successful candidate will this Demand and Workforce Capacity Planner role based nr Mansfield, Nottingham will be progressive, hands-on and employee-obsessed with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused commercial environment. You wont be daunted by a challenge and possess resilience and a bias for action in equal measure.The successful candidate will have:
  • A strong grasp of detail and a perfectionist bias, targeting areas of inaccuracy month on month and always striving to improve
  • Experience within logistics, manufacturing, or customer service operations in a capacity/resource planning role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and engage with stakeholders
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft skills (Excel - VBA, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Commercial and financial awareness, with a full understanding of the impact of failure in relation to business costs
  • Advanced Power BI development skills (advantageous)
  • Highly developed numeracy, statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and manage information, data and trends
  • Experience in forecasting/planning systems would be an advantage as would previous working knowledge of Kronos
