Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant team in supporting Year 5 students. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience for students and will need to demonstrate excellentbehaviour management skills.Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to Year 5 students.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify and address individual learning needs.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education, childcare, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in behaviour management within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of the students and the school.
Desirable:
  • Additional qualifications in behaviour management or special educational needs.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
